Candice Calhoun-Butts

Biography

Candice Calhoun-Butts, Ph.D., has over 20 years of higher education experience spanning the areas of administration, residence life, recruitment, orientation, enrollment management, academic advising, student services, and research and training. She has served in a leadership role on the University of Texas’s campus for 12 years. In her capacity as Assistant Dean, she leads The College of Nursing and Health Innovation’s recruitment and student services department, overseeing more than 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students in nursing, kinesiology, and public health programs. Dr. Calhoun-Butts’ leadership fosters creative, innovative, and data-driven results designed to enhance the educational, professional, and socio-emotional profile of students and is underscored by a mission of excellence.
