Biography

At Academic Partnerships, Jay Hatcher leads a team dedicated to collaborating with higher education institutions to develop strategic partnerships that successfully attract, retain, and graduate students in university partners’ high-quality, workforce-relevant programs.

Before joining Academic Partnerships, Jay was Group Vice President for Business Development and Client Management at Wiley. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Business Development and General Counsel at The Learning House. Earlier in his career, he practiced law in Louisville, Kentucky.

Jay’s legal background has helped him develop skills that are vital to the process of collaborating with and delivering successful outcomes for our university partners and their leaders. Jay finds it fulfilling to see the positive impact of higher education on students’ lives.

Jay holds a J.D. from the University of Kentucky and a B.A. in Political Science with a Minor in Classics from the University of Mississippi. He and his wife Libby have two children. Outside of work, Jay enjoys all racquet sports, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.
